WILTSHIRE COUNCIL HOME LIBRARY SERVICE

The staff at Malmesbury Library may be able to provide either ‘Assisted Reader’ or ‘Home Library Service’ memberships for parishioners depending on their circumstances. ‘Assisted Readers’ are those who struggle to reach the library by themselves and so a friend, relation, or neighbour visits on their behalf with an assisted reader library card. The ‘Home Library Service’ is provided by volunteers who deliver library books to housebound people who do not have anyone else who can visit the library on their behalf.

Details about the Home Library Service can be found here :https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/libraries-home-library-service including a form that can be downloaded for applying to be a client, or a volunteer (they would provide full training and can cover mileage expenses).
